UltraSync BLUE is a versatile and innovative product from Timecode Systems that uses Bluetooth pairing to connect and synchronize with compatible recording devices. It is currently compatible with the MAVIS professional camera app and Apogee’s MetaRecorder app for iPhone, and has the potential to work with any camera or sound recording device with Bluetooth. The patented timing protocol ensures unparalleled accuracy for the exchange of timecode, which is embedded into the media file and recognized by professional NLEs. With the ability to sync up to four devices over Bluetooth or connect to a Timecode Systems RF network, UltraSync BLUE offers more convenience and versatility for shooting from creative angles with smaller, mobile cameras.

One of the most exciting features of UltraSync BLUE is its compatibility with iPhones, providing a way to sync footage professionally with sub-frame accuracy. The team at Zoom Corporation is also working on updates for their H3-VR Handy Recorder and F8n MultiTrack Field Recorder, which will allow them to receive timecode over Bluetooth from the UltraSync BLUE. It is important to note that UltraSync BLUE does not have a built-in WiFi connection and requires a :pulse master unit in the network to connect to the free BLINK Hub app for status monitoring and control. Overall, UltraSync BLUE offers a convenient and efficient way to sync multiple devices for professional shoots.

About The Timecode Systems UltraSync BLUE
UltraSync BLUE is the first product from Timecode Systems to use Bluetooth® pairing to connect and synchronise compatible recording devices. Once connected, timecode is transmitted wirelessly from the UltraSync BLUE directly into the media file of a connected device. There are no cables and no mounting issues, giving more freedom to shoot from creative angles with smaller, more mobile cameras.

By removing the restrictions of a wired connection, crews not only gain extra convenience, they also get even more versatility to choose how they sync. Use a single UltraSync BLUE unit to sync up to four recording devices shooting in close range over Bluetooth®. Or alternatively, connect the UltraSync BLUE to a Timecode Systems RF network and sync to other camera and audio recorders using Timecode Systems units on the same channel.

It can even sync iPhones, providing an efficient way to integrate iPhone footage into professional shoots. The MAVIS professional camera app and Apogee’s MetaRecorder app (both for iPhone) are fully compatible with UltraSync BLUE. For the first time, there is a way to sync iPhones professionally, with sub-frame accuracy.

The team at Zoom Corporation are currently working on new releases of H3-VR Handy Recorder and F8n MultiTrack Field Recorder. When released later this year, both of these Zoom sound recorders will have the ability to receive timecode over Bluetooth from the UltraSync BLUE.

Please note: The UltraSync BLUE does not have a built in WiFi connection. A :pulse master unit is required in your network to connect to BLINK Hub. When in slave mode to a :pulse, the UltraSync BLUE will appear in the BLINK Hub for status monitoring and control, just like other Timecode Systems’ products.
